I believe parenting is an ever-evolving skill set. As parents, we may love our kids AND find the day-to-day challenges a lot. I am a parent of three grown children and volunteer with kids in my free time. As a life-long learner, I love reading and exploring new ideas in various forms from podcasts, to books to returning to school again (and again). In my free time I can be found knitting, gardening, or exploring the outdoors with my family and dogs.

I am a parent education facilitator for Muskoka Family Focus and Children’s Place. Serving families in our community has been a passion for the entirety of my career and I have had the pleasure of being able to do so in a variety of roles over the past 24 years. I’m fortunate enough live in Muskoka with my two youngest sons and deeply enjoy the time we spend together. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share some information about parenting with you and learn together in this journey of parenthood!

I am the Parent Education Supervisor for Muskoka Family Focus and the proud parent of 4 amazing adults. My family has enjoyed living in Muskoka for over 30 years. Parent Education workshops changed how I parented and helped me learn the skills I needed to raise kind, strong, independent children (with my husband and our village, of course). My wish is that all parents could have access to these workshops and resources, and I hope that Parenting in Muskoka will make that possible.
