After School Program Early Childhood Educator
Join our After School Program team across Muskoka as a Registered Early Childhood Educator, creating engaging before & afterschool programming for children Jk- Grade 6.
Monday to Friday, up to 3 hours per day and/or up to 15 hours per week, hours of work are between 3:00-6:00 pm, contingent upon enrollment follow the school year calendar of TLDSB, SMCDSB, NNDSB
- Early Childhood Education Diploma or other related diploma considered for Director Approval.
- Child Youth Care Worker Diploma, Social Service Worker Diploma, Ontario Teachers College.
- Registered Early Childhood Educator in Good Standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
- First Aid CPR-C
- Food Handler Certificate.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- A commitment to the childcare field with a philosophy that is conducive to that of Muskoka Family Focus and Children’s Place.
- Knowledge and understanding of the How Does Learning Happen? document and Child Care and Early Years Act and requirements from Public Health for licensed child care.
- Experience working with children and their parents in a school age environment. Knowledge of family dynamics.
- Ability to provide an engaging programming for children of all ages and development.
- Able to meet the physical demands of daily program set up and take down.
- Strong Leadership skills and the ability to work independently or in a group.
- Good attendance record.
- Worker Health and Safety Awareness Proof of Completion Certificate.
- WHIMS 2015 Training Certificate.
- Violence and Harassment in the Workplace Certificate.
- Current Standard First Aid and Infant/Child C.P.R. Certificate.
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screen and Medical Assessment, including up to date immunizations including Hepatitis B, on hiring and as required by Muskoka Family Focus and Children’s Place policies.

Cook – Full Day Early Learning Centres
Bring your passion for nutrition to our Early Learning Centres as a Cook, planning and preparing healthy meals and snacks for children across our Muskoka locations.
Monday to Friday; Part time 20-35 hours per week (location dependent)
- Secondary School Diploma
- Experience cooking for large groups, including planning nutritious meals and snacks, catering to special diets, grocery shopping and staying within a budget.
- Experience and understanding of Health Requirements for Licensed Child Care and Child Care and Early Years Act.
- Valid Food Handler’s Course Certificate.
- Current Standard First Aid and Infant Child C.P.R. Certificate
- Valid Drivers license and/or ability to safely transport groceries to child care
- Education in Culinary Diploma or equivalent would be an asset.
- Experience cooking for large groups, including planning nutritious meals and snacks, catering to special diets, grocery shopping and staying within a budget.
- Experience and understanding of Health Requirements for Licensed Child Care and Child Care and Early Years Act.
- Valid Food Handler’s Course Certificate.
- Knowledge of Canada Food guide for children and child size portions.
- Experience working with children and/or families.
- Ability to create a grocery order and pick up groceries weekly.
- Able to meet the physical demands of position such as carrying groceries, lifting dish trays.
- Good attendance record.
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced atmosphere.

Relief / Supply Educators
Relief/Supply Educators are required at all our sites throughout Muskoka. Gravenhurst, Bracebridge & Huntsville
Hours are an on call basis and vary from week to week based on needs of the programs and availability for shifts. Hours of work are between 7:30 am to 7:00 pm.
- Secondary School Diploma and experience working with children.
- Registered ECE, CYCW, SSW, DSW, OTC Diplomas would be an asset or working toward it.
- Minimally 2 years experience working with Children.
- First Aid CPR-C
- Food Handler Certificate
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
